Meet the Baker

Hi, I'm Viyana.

Pronouncedvee-yawn-uh

V's began at home.

When my daughter was born in Groton, Connecticut, I wanted work that would let me earn an income and stay home with her. Decorated sugar cookies became that work.

What started with cookies at home eventually grew into the intricate, multi-tiered wedding cakes, desserts, and custom event spreads I craft today.

The Beginning

Groton, Connecticut

A new daughter, life as a military family, and the first steps of a baking career.

The Journey

From Connecticut to Hawaiʻi

Because ours is a military family, home has moved from Connecticut to Washington and now to Honolulu. I kept baking through every move.

My first job was at Cinnabon. Since then, I have spent more than eight years learning hands-on in bakeries and cafés. I have worked across enough parts of the kitchen to call myself a jack-of-all-trades baker.

That range is why the original name, V's Cookies and Treats, still fits today. Cookies were the beginning, not the limit.

Beyond the Kitchen

  • Lao and proud.
  • Mom to a daughter and a son.
  • Born in July. A Cancer.
  • I love cooking, hosting, and planning dinner parties and events.
  • At karaoke, I am choosing country or old-school R&B.
The Heart of It

Food is how I make people feel special. Baking is part of that, and so are the table, the gathering, and the details people remember.

Say Hello

The people who have ordered, shared my work, or followed along made it possible for this studio to grow. I love getting to know the couples and clients I bake for, so tell me what you are celebrating and what you have in mind.
